I have always had a passion for studying Chemistry. After high school, I spent six months in Penang, Malaysia, living with a college friend of my mom's. During my free time there, I studied an advanced chemistry textbook, further cementing my love of the subject. Three weeks after returning to the United States, I began my studies in Chemistry at Cedarville University, where I studied for my first two years. While at Cedarville, I worked as a lab assistant, then after transferring universities, I took as many research classes as they would let me. Two internships later, one at Nutramax Laboratories and one at Texas Tech University Health and Science Center, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Minor in Mathematics.
Immediately following my graduation, I focused on raising my three (now five) children, especially managing my second son's extreme eczema. As someone with sensitive skin, I knew how difficult it was to find products that would nourish my skin; however, healing my son's eczema proved a much more difficult task. It seemed that even the best formulas would have one ingredient too many--one that would not be tolerated by his skin. This is why I created BeakerGold--to give options to people with sensitive skin.
