Our favorite ingredient? Straight from the Bible, Frankincense (i.e. Boswellia extract) is well-studied for use with arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Even more specifically, boswellic acids found within the resin have shown extremely anti-inflammatory properties.

Behind The Formulation
Behind The Formulation
I made this for my mom.
Her thumb was arthritic causing continual pain. She had been to the doctor numerous times for it, but it only got worse. Finally, the only two options left were cortisone shots (which she previously had a horrific reaction to) or take Advil and try to deal with the pain. Unfortunately she can't take painkillers, other than the occasional white willow bark supplement. "It's okay" she told me over the phone, " I'll just deal with it," as she tried to resign herself to the inevitable misery.
But it was not okay. She wore wrist braces continually, but even still, the slightest wrong move was debilitating.
I had to do something! I delved into researching what I could use that I knew she wasn't sensitive to. Frankincense/boswellia extract made an obvious choice, especially with the research using boswellia with arthritic patients. As soon as I possibly could, I brought over my first sample batch--making it there just before bedtime one particularly bad day. She put it on under her wrist brace and the next morning she sent me a picture with the caption, "the swelling is almost completely gone!!" Two weeks later, she was moving her thumb!!*
I started making more and more as word got around from my mom and others who purchased it from me. My goal was to make an effective product to help people, and thus far, it has done just that.
